Guildhall,
The Guildhall is one of Derry’s most recognisable landmarks and has been at the heart of the city since 1890. In 2013 A major £9.5m restoration of the Guildhall took place.
Glenfort took the contract of the main chamber council roof working alongside the Guildhall appointed architect, Consarc Design. The project included the restoration of existing feature trusses and the manufacture of new trusses to the same design of those already in place. This included moldings, metal bracing and decorative purlins. The project was not without its challenges but here at Glenfort we were able to meet them all, it was highly rewarding and a great to be involved in. Strong ties were made with the architect and main contractor H&J Martin.
